3D printed guitar features moving gears and piston
Olaf Diegel, a design engineer from New Zealand, has combined his two passions in life - 3D printing and music - to set up a company specialising in customisable, 3D printed guitars.
The Steampunk guitar, pictured right, features a 3D printed body with moving gears and piston.
The entire body, including all of its moving components, was printed as a single component using selective laser sintering.
The guitar was manufactured by US firm 3D Systems using an sPro 230 SLS machine. The main body is made up of its Duraform PA plastic.
