COMSOL upgrades simulation and analysis software
COMSOL has added new features to its flagship multiphysics simulation software.
Version 4.4 comes with a new desktop interface for Windows, as well as a completely new multiphysics node that enables streamlined set-up of multiphysics models.
Other new features include a mixer module specifically designed for the analysis of stirred mixers and reactors; an expanded optimisation module; core functionality enhancements to the geometry and mesh module; and an upgrade to the heat transfer module that includes two fast and memory efficient methods for modelling radiation in participating media.
"COMSOL is committed to providing reliable and intuitive simulation tools that support creativity and save precious development time," said COMSOL ceo Svante Littmarck. "COMSOL 4.4 delivers on this mission by providing significant upgrades to the capabilities of the software, therefore ensuring that users can verify and optimise their designs with the highest accuracy."
