The purpose of the company's FN 2200 range of filters is to: reduce conducted emissions towards the solar panel, reduce the probability of EMI radiation from the solar panel, help prevent premature panel aging because of HF leakage currents and help meet international EMC regulations for the entire PV system. When used in conjunction with appropriately sized EMC/EMI filters on the AC mains side, the filters help meet the limits of EN 61000 and other binding EMC standards. Such standards are frequently required for PV installations in Europe and other regions. The new FN 2200 filters require up to 30% less installation space compared to traditional solutions. They also ensure minimum power loss of <0.0008% related to the rating of the inverter and thus help maximize overall system efficiency. The units are available with ratings from 25 to 1500A at 55°C and for voltages up to 1200VDC. Filters without filter capacitors to ground (FN 2200B) are available upon request. All models are UL, CSA, and ENEC approved and RoHS compliant.
