This exciting two day event played host to 23 thought-provoking conference sessions including Land Rover BAR, Williams Advanced Engineering, Rolls Royce, ARM and Hybrid Air Vehicles. In addition the exhibition housed four workshop theatres open to visitors wanting to learn new skills or take away practical design tips and tricks.
Ed Tranter, executive director at Findlay Media and managing director of Mark Allen Exhibitions, said: “The 2015 Engineering Design Shows have once again been a huge success; the visitor numbers were up on 2014 and the events housed the greatest number of exhibitors to date, over 80% of which have confirmed their stand space again for next year. We now have a waiting list for exhibition space at the 2016 event and with the new features and innovations we have planned I am confident the Engineering Design Shows will continue to offer both visitors and exhibitors a fantastically immersive engineering experience.”
The Engineering Design group of shows will evolve further in 2016 to keep pace with the needs of the markets it serves. Tomorrow’s Engineering Designers, an exhibition and conference aimed at promoting careers in engineering to post-graduates, will run alongside the Engineering Design Show.Leading UK employers and institutions will be on site to discuss career opportunities and present a series of inspiring keynotes and panel sessions encouraging the next generation of design engineers.
Commenting on the addition to the Engineering Design Show, Tranter said: “All too often engineering graduates complete their degrees only to then take up careers outside of industry. The UK desperately needs high quality engineers and we want to play our part in delivering them.”
The Engineering Design Show and Tomorrow’s Engineering Designers will run at the Jaguar Exhibition Halls, Ricoh Arena, Coventry, from 19 to 20 October 2016.
