Eureka cited on Talksport radio
Presenter Mike Parry silences co-presenters with recent innovation article on 'chemical steam'
In an unlikely namecheck, Eureka has been used to settle an argument on Talksport radio – the phone-in station for sports fans.
Listeners to the Alan Brazil Breakfast Show recently heard how regular guest Mike ‘Porky’ Parry – known for his strong opinions – planned to solve the ongoing energy crisis. His suggestion to bring back steam trains was laughed off by his co-presenters.
But this week he was back, armed with the October issue of Eureka. Its cover story was about a catalyst that produces ‘chemical steam’ – which could be used to make more efficient steam trains in future.
It's always possible that engineering breakthroughs could form a greater part of the show - but with the England manager's job now up for grabs, they probably have more pressing things to discuss.
