Gray takes over at Technology Strategy Board
Former managing director of Airbus UK now oversees R&D and innovation
Iain Gray has become the first chief executive of the Technology Strategy Board – the government-funded body that supports, promotes and invests in the research and development of technology and innovation.
“This is an inspiring organisation, and I am joining at a hugely exciting time,” said Gray, who was managing director and general manager of Airbus UK. “Understanding the needs of business, and what it takes to innovate effectively, is vital to the Technology Strategy Board’s work.”
The TSB oversees a number of areas, including collaborative R&D, Knowledge Transfer Networks, Innovation Platforms and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
