Registration for the funding will open Monday 16 March 2015. The aim of this funding competition is to encourage the development of smart products that combine functional, hybrid and multiple materials. Projects must be collaborative, bringing together material suppliers with processing specialists and end-users, with a focus on mainly industrial research projects which should last between one and three years.
Innovate invests £6million to seek smart materials
Innovate UK and EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council will invest up to £6million in collaborative R&D projects for smart materials.
