The Forum’s goal is to provide the participants with a better understanding of the opportunities opening up in the field of the IoT. Professionals in sensors, solutions for wireless communication, processing and securing data applications and connected products will also be in attendance.
Young innovative companies will be given a special share of attention at the forum. More than 20 start-ups have already confirmed their presence in the ‘start-up corner’. The IEEE association will run a pitch session to give these enterprises the chance to present their projects to a panel of international investors.
The conference programme is divided into seven sessions: an introductory session to portray data transmission networks and how to secure them, followed by sessions on specific IoT ecosystems such as energy, transport, industry, wearables, healthcare and smart home. This structure and the sharing of different experiences in each ecosystem aims to make the participants familiar with the differences and requirements related to applications that involve a choice of different technologies.
