John Guest celebrates 50th anniversary
UK manufacturing company John Guest is celebrating 50 years in the business. Founded in the early 1960's, the company is responsible for the invention of the Speedfit push-in fitting, which is well known in the compressed air, automotive, plumbing and telecommunications industries.
"We are delighted to hit this milestone and I'm sure my father, the company's founder, would have been very proud," said Robert Guest, commercial director. "We are now looking forward to continuing the success over the next 50 years."
Throughout its five decades, John Guest has manufactured and developed its products entirely in the UK and has focused on stringent production standards and policy of retaining every stage of the manufacturing process - from design to final dispatch - under the company's total control. It has won a total of four Queen's Awards for Enterprise; three for export and one for innovation.
