Inside is the desktop standard NVIDIA Quadro P600 Graphic card, up to a 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor for Windows 10 (or 6th generation if you want to keep Windows 7). It also has 2TB of storage using SSD storage and also 32GB of memory.
On the back, there are six independent display ports allowing four mini displays and two regular full size displays.
Lammers added: “From a product design stand point, we think this is perfect for anything smaller than a car.”
Though portable by its nature, the ThinkStation Tiny is powered by an external power brick and not via a battery pack.
“We can see engineers upgrading to this system,” said Lammers. “It’s easy to set up and deploy, and it will run programs without glitching. This will not replace towers and workstations, [which you’ll still need for large simulation work for example], but there are a lot of use cases.”
The ThinkStation Tiny P320 is available from Lenovo.com and through Lenovo UK resellers as a standalone purchase (starting at $799) or through its PC as a Service (PCaaS) scheme that charges a fixed monthly cost.
