Meet the innovators
The London Development Agency invites you to meet Britain's top innovators at a conference for promoting innovation in business on Monday 17 March 2003 at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London.
The LDA says that some of Britain's most successful business innovators, entrepreneurs and academics will be taking part. The event will be chaired by Kirsty Wark and speakers will include Lord Sainsbury of Turville, Sir Richard Sykes, Sir Derek Roberts, Ralph Ardill, CEO of Imagination and Simon Woodroffe, the inspirational force behind the Yo Sushi chain and Lateral and L-Shift co-founder, Andy Wilson.
The focus throughout the day will be on practical information, advice and first hand experience with plenty of opportunities for networking and intelligence gathering. Participants can attend a combination of seminar sessions exploring themes such as intellectual property, creativity and design in business as well as practical solutions for funding and setting up business partnerships with London's many universities and research facilities. There will also be hands-on creative workshops, an on-site innovation clinic" and the chance to quiz some of the country's best-known creative minds directly during the day's many question and answer sessions.
The conference will also mark the launch of the London Development Agency's Innovation, Knowledge and Science Strategy which aims to tackle the key barriers to innovation in London, with the aim of enabling businesses to commercialise their research ideas.
The conference is supported by Business Link, London First and the London Chamber of Commerce. TS
