National Composites Centre to partner with Dassault Systèmes
The newly established National Composites Centre has entered into a partnership agreement with Dassault Systèmes.
The £25million centre is to use the company's 3D Experience platform to help its partners create next generation composite products and processes.
Peter Chivers, chief executive of the NCC said: "We warmly welcome Dassault Systèmes as an associate member and are appreciative of the support and expertise that they bring.
"With Version 6, Dassault Systèmes will provide the centre with a complete, open and fully integrated design, simulation and virtual manufacturing 3D Experience system."
Established in November 2011, the NCC is an 8500m2 state of the art building offering laboratory space for SMEs to develop new products.
Located in Bristol's Science Park, it is one of seven research and technology facilities which form the High Value Manufacturing technology and innovation centre.
"We are proud to become an associate member of the NCC," commented Philippe Laufer, vp of R&D, CATIA, Dassault Systèmes. "The NCC is critical to global composite industry development and is an ideal partner for us."
