The opening of nominations for the third QEPrize is scheduled for March 2016.Nominations will be accepted throughout the spring of 2016, with the winner(s) expected to be announced early next year.
The QEPrize is a global £1million prize that aims to raise the public profile of engineering and inspire young people to take up the challenges of the future and become engineers. The QEPrize is awarded biennially and the search for the winner(s) demonstrates the importance of engineering to society across the world.
The previous winner of the QEPrize, awarded in 2015 by Her Majesty The Queen, was Dr Robert Langer, a chemical engineer based at MIT, who was recognised for his advances and leadership in engineering at the interface with chemistry and medicine.
