SolidWorks unveils eDrawings iPad app
SolidWorks has announced the availability of eDrawings for iPad, an application that lets users bring 2D and 3D files to a customer's site, or to a sales meeting, and share design concepts quickly and easily.
Said to be the only CAD viewer on iPad, eDrawings allows users to view and review native eDrawings files, DraftSight files, SolidWorks parts, assemblies and drawings files. It is optimised to let users load and send files via email to collaborate more effectively with everyone involved in the product development process.
The new app features a range of multi touch gestures that let users pan, zoom and rotate models easily. There is also additional support for configurations, drawing sheets and exploded views for eDrawings files published from SolidWorks and all other supported CAD software.
