“Many local businesses participated in the event to showcase their industry to students,” said Anne Sutton, training and development officer at TDK-Lambda UK. “The interactive activities, live demonstrations and quizzes held during the event helped inspire young students, enabling them to discover how STEM school subjects can lead to fantastic, rewarding careers.”
The Big Bang is a national programme that celebrates STEM and incorporates the National Science and Engineering Competition (NSEC). TDK sponsored the award for the ‘STEM Club Best Project’ category as part of this, and TDK-Lambda UK’s product performance manager, Alex Knill presented the award to Treviglas College for their winning entry entitled: Nature Gardens Power Generation.
