The EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub (The Hub) has released the programme for its one-day conference, taking place alongside ICMAC 2018 on the 10th July 2018 in Nottingham, UK.
This free-to-attend event, taking place in the Advanced Manufacturing Building, celebrates the first complete year of the Hub and the continuing success of the Industrial Doctorate Centre (IDC). It will give partners of the Hub the opportunity to highlight progress to date and showcase any project outputs. This will be a great opportunity for those across the composites manufacturing supply chain to learn about the latest research and developments in this field.
Highlights of the Open-Day include two industry keynote speakers, two interactive workshops, and technical presentations from all research projects currently funded by the Hub. Attendees will discover how to engage further with the Hub, including the support the Hub requires to continue its development and expansion. For students, there will be quick-fire “elevator pitches” with the current IDC cohort, and a poster competition. Q&A sessions will provide opportunities to network and discuss research interests with Hub partners.
Headed by Hub Director, Andy Long, the event features speakers from across the industry and academia and includes topics from both Airbus and Gordon Murray Design. Additional information about the event, together with details about how to get to the venue at the Advanced Manufacturing Building, are detailed on the Eventbrite event page. Please register to attend the free open dayhere.
If you would also like to attend ICMAC, registration and payment can be made separately via the IOM3 website.
