Pressing powders
CERAM Research wil be holding an open industrial workshop on "Engineering the Green State of Powder Products" on Thursday September 27th
.
The project is based at six leading UK universities with support from over 20 companies. It aims at improving our understanding of dry powder processing and die pressing.
The research groups will give a series of presentations that will cover topics such as segregation and flowability during subsequent handling of powder blends and their delivery to the forming press, filling of the die cavity from the powder shoe, modelling of compaction and ejection and issues specifically related to the die pressing of nano-scale powders.
This event will also provide opportunities to meet with the researchers involved in the project.
In addition, all delegates will be provided with a CD of all presentations at the workshop, hard copy summary reports from each research group and best practice guidance documents.
You can register for the event on the PowdermatriX website or by contacting Ann Barratt at ann.barratt@ceram.com
