Remanufacturing Workshop
Tuesday 12th February, Caterpillar Remanufacturing Services, Shrewsbury, UK
'Remanufacturing' has been defined as the process of "returning a used product to at least its original performance with a warranty that is equivalent to or better than that of the newly manufactured product".
This free workshop will take a closer look at the remanufacturing model, as well as other closed loop system design and systems thinking. The workshop is being hosted at the Caterpillar Remanufacturing facility in Shrewsbury, and the day will begin with a tour of the plant, followed by an afternoon of presentations and hands-on teardown activities.
Each of the workshops has space for 30 people, and aims to get a good balance of people, interest and skills. The company will also be bringing relevant material and process specialists into the group to assist the discussions.
