Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, now in its fourth year, will shine a spotlight on engineering careers in a way that young people, and particularly girls, may have never considered before.
This year, the Week will call on employers and the industry to inspire young people, their parents and teachers through a host of activities including a nationwide call to uncover the engineers behind the innovations we use today, as well as revealing the role of engineers in places young people wouldn’t expect.
We will also be working with top brands from the engineering industry to create a series of ‘bootcamps’ to inspire young people into engineering careers.
Furthermore, in advance of and during the Week will reveal how engineers are shaping the future and making our lives, safer, easier and more fun to live. This includes how engineers are creating faster and more efficient rail systems, how engineering will feed the world and how engineering will protect people from flooding.
