Today, we are on the brink of a revolution in design and engineering as technologies such as additive manufacturing, generative design and artificial intelligence combine with platforms connected with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to bring us solutions to both age-old challenges and today’s fresh new engineering problems.
Held April 17th at the University of Sheffield, DEVELOP3D LIVE 2019 is a conference and exhibition that brings together leaders in the field of engineering design and simulation software to explore where the future of the where we are heading.
Our keynotes are Brompton’s lead mechanical engineer, Jonathan Heath, describing how the legendary bicycle manufacturer is keeping ahead of the curve with simulation and Chris Harley from Wirth Research talking about how its knowledge from Autosport is helping a derive efficiencies for Eddie Stobbart amongst others. Our mainstage will also feature Leeds-based Carbon Performance, which deploys Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, Smart manufacturing, Augmented Reality and IoT to make ultra-lightweight motorsport parts.
If you’re among the growing number of forward thinkers looking at both additive manufacturing and optimisation, we have assembled a great array of experts on hand both on mainstage and with a dedicated Additive track (in INOX 2). Featuring: GKN, XJet, Betatype, The MTC, Protolabs, EOS, Authentise and the illustrious Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
We also have a whole day track focussing on visualisation and VR. We have curated a mix of customers and technologists to inspire and educate, with some brand-new technologies including Varjo, a Finnish company which has developed a head set with retina level displays which has to be seen to be believed.
