The flat speed/torque curve results in the strongest motor in its class and means that the motor can deliver consistent torque without compromising the output speed. The huge improvement in power and torque achieved by the 1024…SR series is based on a complete redesign of nearly all of the motor’s elements, including a new high copper density coil, a new commutation system and a new magnet. This results in a significantly wider speed range under load, delivering a continuous torque of 1.5 mNm at 7500 rpm and exhibiting an output power above 3W and is available in windings of 6V, 9V and 12V DC. The new end cap and bearing configuration together with enhanced balancing ensures that the motor delivers optimum performance but with low noise and vibration. A uniquely wide range of combination elements helps to transform the motor’s power into high-end performance. It can be equipped with either a magnetic or optical encoder when electromagnetic interference is a consideration and is available with a range of gearheads including the 12/4 planetary gearhead. This unique gearhead delivers the highest power output levels available with motors of this class with a continuous torque of 300mNm from a combined length, including encoder of just 51mm. The optional zero backlash spur gearhead 12/5 eliminates rotating play and grants high accuracy at a competitive price. The 1024…SR series provides extended lifetime by integrating electrical erosion suppression circuitry that minimizes the degrading effect on brushes and collector and the resulting clean commutation signal also enhances the accuracy of motor control. The 1024…SR motor is ideal for high-demand applications, and its ability to deliver high performance with small dimensions and low weight make it a perfect choice for all portable devices. Its high performance and low vibration levels makes it ideal for medical devices, prosthetics and optical equipment. The addition of an optional ball bearing also extends its application areas in the case of radial loads and the motor can be supplied with a rear shaft and vacuum compatibility as well as extended temperature range version (-30 to + 125°C).
