Fit and forget position sensors
Gill's range of Blade sensors are robust, versatile and cost-effective sensors for demanding applications. The Blade range is IP67 protected and unaffected by dirt, water, oil ingress and other harsh chemicals and are able to work in temperatures from -40ºC to well-over 100ºC. With the sensors able to withstand the harsh and uncompromising industrial environments, the costly downtime experienced with other sensor types is significantly reduced.
The Blade range provides highly accurate linear, angular and rotary measurement across a range of measurement zones. Designed with no moving parts to break to jam, the sensors have an unlimited mechanical life, offering a fit and forget solution in many applications where access can be difficult.
Gill's latest product, the Blade 20, offers 12-bit resolution capable of data sampling at speeds up to 15 KHz. Blade20 is configurable to a 20mm measurement zone, capable of monitoring 20mm linear and shallow-arc movement. The new sensor is available with 0.5-4.5v and 0.5-10v outputs and a new 4-20mA variant will be launched later this year.
