Low cost linear actuator with flexure guiding
The V-900KPIC from PI is a compact voice coil driven linear actuator designed for dynamic dosing and focussing applications as well as part handling in automation tasks.
With a travel range of 1.5mm and a high scanning frequency of several 100Hz the flexure based design of the actuator is drawn from PI's extensive experience in the piezo positioning field. The wear free flexure guiding system is based on the elastic deformation of metal joints, a principle which prevents lateral motion of the mechanical output and ensures high travel accuracy as well as high lifetime. The drive also incorporates a linear encoder for closed loop operation.
