Martec M-M12 metric standard hermetically sealed connectors

Available in 3, 4, 5 and 8 way contact layouts, these hermetic receptacle connectors offer either eyelet, solder bucket and/or pcb fixed pin contacts and are designed to exceed IP68K in an unmated state and to provide an extended temperature rating of -55°C to +260°C. The popular M12 connector format will be found in most industry sectors, such as transport and instrumentation, for use with proximity switches, sensors and interconnection in demanding environmental conditions. The Martec hermetic M-M12 is applicable to a wide variety of applications, while the unmated sealing performance provides particular compatibility with hermetically sealed enclosures, such as Industrial Ethernet and control units. The M-M12 connectors are sealed by permanently fusing a single piece glass insert between the pin contacts and the machined Stainless Steel Shell. To maintain thermal compatibility with the glass insert, the contacts are manufactured from a nickel alloy, with an electro-deposited gold over nickel protective plating on the pin contacts. The Jam Nut style receptacle is supplied with a fluorosilicone rubber O-ring for panel sealing. The shell mounting configuration for the Square Flange and Jam Nut is interchangeable with that of Mil-DTL-26482, shell size 8, while the round flange style is designed for ease of welding directly to the panel.
