Mechanical & fluid power transmission specialists - design engineering • prompt product supply • machine shop & after-sales services
Everything is achievable - When mechanical drive and fluid power solutions are required, JBJ Techniques has the answers. An experienced and dedicated team of technical sales and design engineers is on hand to work with customers and deliver the required results.
The markets where JBJ operates are often time sensitive. In such circumstances, customers need reliable solution partners - people who are conscious of deadlines, creative in design and always willing to seek the best solution for the customers' needs. On all of these counts, JBJ Techniques delivers.
Bellhousings
JBJ supply and manufacture the most comprehensive range of bellhousings in Europe meeting all European and worldwide standards such as VDMA and ATEX.
Tailored to suit each individual drive, we have the ability to connect electric motors with frame sizes from D56 to D400L to any given pump type without misalignment. Available in aluminium, for general industrial applications, an addittional range of noise reduction equipment exists for noise and vibration sensitive applications. JBJ are a leading UK manufacturer of bellhousings made from cast iron and sg iron materials, with units specifically designed for the most aggressive of environments. A complete range of equipment also exists to allow the connection of diesel, petrol and air motors to any driven component.
Drive Couplings
Probably the widest range of couplings available within the UK with 14 different designs and 22 different styles in our gear couplings alone. Ranging from miniature couplings, all steel gear, self lubricating gear, flexible spider, torque limiting, disc and grid type, ATEX compliant couplings and shaft locking devices.
Spider Couplings
Spider Couplings are torsionally flexible and enable the connection of shafts or drive flanges via an independent drive ring.
Available in either curved or straight jaw formats the drive ring allows the coupling to compensate for parallel, angular or axial displacements.
Available in a variety of materials including exotic metals couplings will accept up to 180mm dia. shafts and maximum continuous torques of 35000 Nm (70000Nm peak).
Features include:
● Self-lubricating elements, elements in compression and a complete range of spacer type designed to cater for large shaft gap applications
● Jaw In Shear couplings enable the replacement of the drive ring without the need to move either the driving or the driven equipment
● Non-backlash couplings for use with precision feedback and servo drive type equipment where torsional stiffness and angular accuracy are demanded also exist within the range.
Gear Couplings
Gear Couplings are designed to release neighbouring shaft bearings from non-controlled addittional bearing loads and exist in either in single or double engagement formats. Non-lubricating versions transmit torque between two steel gear hubs and the internal teeth of a nylon drive sleeve. Capable of accepting shaft diameters of 100mm and transmitting continuous torques of 2400 Nm.
All steel versions are capable of transmitting torques of up to 500000DaNm. and can accept shaft diameters upto1100mm dia.
Antic-static & Flameproof Couplings
'JXL' Torsionally resilient couplings, of pin and bush design, comprise two fully machined steel flanges which are coupled via a series of drive pins and 'Hytrel' flexible elements which absorb shock loads and dampen vibration. Couplings are suitable for shaft to shaft connection or as a flange to shaft option and will not produce static electricity, whilst the elements will not sustain burning.
Capable of transmitting torques of up to 300000Nm and accepting shaft diameters of 400mm. Manufactured in accordance with ATEX 94/9/ECII2GD-IM2-T6 European Directive, harmonised standards: EN13463-4, EN13463-5, EN50303, EN13463-1 and are supplied with full material certification on request.
jbj Techniques Limited work with customers, suppliers, service providers and colleagues alike, to provide the service that customers have come to expect from a UK leader in mechanical drive and transmissions for the mechanical and fluid power engineering industry.
