NIDays 2010: Brian Cox to give Keynote – Why We Need Explorers

NIDays is the annual professional development conference and exhibition for engineers and scientists involved in measurement, automation and embedded design. Come along to see Brian Cox and join industry experts to learn about the latest technologies and trends in test, design and control. Hear about software upgrades including NI LabVIEW 2010, emerging hardware platforms and industry applications and learn how NI products can make you more productive.

2010 Highlights include: Software Development Techniques: Explore the latest NI software, including LabVIEW 2010, and ways to improve your application development, productivity and performance. Deepen your understanding of efficient architectures and programming techniques and hear from end-users about their systems and successes. Test, Data Acquisition and Instrumentation: Learn about new and advanced hardware and software tools for application areas including high-performance data acquisition, Automated Test, RF communications, Real-Time and FPGA technology. Industrial and Embedded Technology: Industrial system engineers and product innovators alike are continuously being challenged to do more, when completing the design, prototyping and deployment of new applications. Explore how NI tools fuel innovation by simplifying development, increasing productivity and reducing time to market. End User Solutions: Hear from Engineers and Scientists with expertise across many industries and discuss the cutting-edge applications that they have accomplished. Understand the challenges they faced and the technologies and tools that helped them succeed. Keynote Speaker: Professor Brian Cox OBE At the same time as playing keyboard with D'Ream, Brian obtained a first class degree and a PhD in High Energy Particle Physics. He is now Professor of Particle Physics at Manchester and one of the leaders on the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva. Not content with that, he has also become a hugely popular TV presenter and author. Brian's talks inspire audiences around the globe, from TED in America to the World Economic Forum in Davos and China. With staggering images, his presentations show that science breaks down barriers and can both shock and excite. He also describes the breathtaking work at CERN, where scientists are recreating conditions a billionth of a second after Big Bang "in the hope of revealing the underlying simplicity of the universe."
