Powersolve announces programmable 3300W DC power sources
Powersolve, a leading power supply specialist manufacturer and supplier, announces high-performance bench-top or rack-mount power sources designed for long life at full power. The power supplies will work from practically any mains supply - including three phase - as long as the input voltage is between 180V and 528VAC. All four models in the SM3300 Series feature active power factor correction up to 0.99 at 100% load.
Key features include an excellent dynamic response to load changes, protection against all overload and short circuit conditions and excellent EMC characteristics that easily surpass CE requirements. Ease of use is assured by the use of front panel digital encoders for digital voltage and current setting as well as an Ethernet interface for programming and monitoring. A USB port allows for the exchange of settings and waveforms.
Produced by DeltaElektronika, the SM3300 Series can be programmed to provide a very wide range of voltage and current outputs to suit all types of test, simulation and power source applications including battery simulation, automotive test equipment, solar inverter testing and as an accurate current source. Output voltages can be up to 660V using an auto-ranging capability while output current can be between 0 and 220A. Maximum output power is 3300 Watts.
A number of options are available including field installable interfaces such as PROFIBUS, CANBUS and RS232 and a two-quadrant output which keeps the output voltage constant even if the output power is positive or negative –making the unit ideal for PWM speed-controlled DC motors and ATE systems. A high speed programming option gives a 10 to 20 times increase in programming speed and lower output capacitance – making it suitable for laser applications.
