LPE is pleased to announce the recent installation of the very latest metal sintering equipment. The Concept Laser M Lab laser cusing system offers customers a very fast and accurate solution for the direct production of high resolution metal components.
LPE, established in 1991, offers Rapid Prototyping services including Stereolithography, Laser Sintering, Vacuum Casting, Investment Casting CNC and RIM. This new service allows LPE to continue offering THE very latest prototyping and additive manufacturing services / materials to customers from a wide range of industries throughout the UK and Ireland.
Metal Sintering offers an ideal solution for the cost effective rapid production of prototypes for high temperature parts, medical and dental applications, and complex aerospace components. The process can also be used for the creation of bespoke fine jewellery, custom made surgical implants and tooling inserts for plastic moulding and die casting allowing for improved cycles times and moulded part quality.
Comparable to good investment cast parts and with the mechanical properties equivalent to cast or machined components, Metal Sintering eliminates the time and financial costs associated with conventional tooling.
Currently, LPE offers parts built in stainless steel, but hopes to quickly increase the range of materials to include aluminium and titanium amongst others.
