Upfront benefits
Version 10 of CFdesign upfront CFD from Blue Ridge Numerics features several benefits: improved navigation, deeper CAD associativity, new design review features, interactive void filling and external volume creation, along with CFD-tv on demand multi-media tutorials, cavitation prediction and quick convection options.
Quick forced convection assumes an incompressible, ideal fluid, and then automatically computes empirical film coefficients and solves for heat transfer. Quick Natural/Free convection runs a small number of flow and thermal iterations together, accounting for the surrounding fluid before computing and applying film coefficients. From there, the simulation continues as a thermal-only analysis.
