Coaxial valves for extreme pressures
Ideal for industrial furnaces, lubrication circuits, machine tools, pumping equipment, water treatment and test benches
Ideal for industrial furnaces, lubrication circuits, machine tools, pumping equipment, water treatment and test benches, Asco Joucomatic's new range of 2/2 and 3/2 coaxial valves have been developed to overcome extreme pressure differentials encountered inside valves used at high operating pressures.
In conventional vales, excessive actuation forces would be required to overcome these differentials which could lead to the valve user suffering from imprecise operation, poor repeatability and reduced operating life.
The new valve integrates only one moving part, a stainless steel control tube, which, when actuated, slides seamlessly away from a valve seat allowing the fluid media to flow through the valve uninterrupted. The advantage of this is that pressure remains balanced on both sides of the valve, even with differential pressures of 40bar and fluids with viscosities up to 6,000cSt.
Response time on a valve with G1/2" connections is 35ms and, when operated with water as the controlled medium, the valve has an expected life of six million cycles. Stainless steel bodies are available for corrosive fluids and brass bodies where the fluid is non-aggressive but viscous. There are two types of direct actuation offered: an IP65 rated solenoid or a pneumatic operator.
A NAMUR version with an integrated spool valve is available for process control users. DP
