Special bearings brought together
INA and FAG Kugelfischer, now one company, are combining their top of the range products and services under a new umbrella brand called 'X-life'.
FAG Director of Marketing Michael Kruger told Eureka at the Hannover Fair that all products in the range are made from advanced materials. Products, we were told, may be available from stock but they are normally made and selected for customer specific applications.
Typical target market sectors include aerospace and applications involving high levels of heat or dirt or requiring exceptionally low maintenance or corrosive conditions. Solutions chosen may involve ceramic balls or special surfaces, but always involve, "Something special from the know how that we have."
Robert Schullan, head of Industrial Sales for Industry and Distribution emphasized, "X-life is not a product or series of products but represents our philosophy, as an engineering partner, of offering the customer all the required products to premium quality as well as customised solutions." The two companies have a total of 180 years of experience and both offer an intensive advisory and service expertise across all the continents. Since many of the products and skills in the two companies are complementary, rather than directly competitive, the combined knowledge base represents an exceptionally wide volume of expertise.
New INA-Schaeffler ball monorail guidance systems KUVE and roller monorail guidance systems RUE are included in the X-life brand. The four row ball monorail system KUVE has been developed to create a full complement version for heavy duty operation and a low noise version. TS
