Automotive module benefits from inserts
A manufacturer of automotive plastic electronic modules was experiencing installation and performance problems with an insert during assembly of the mating component.
Each time an insert was incorrectly installed the assembly had to be discarded and was also scrapped if the insert rotated in the plastic while tightening the screw used to fasten the assembly together. Spirol replaced it with a Series 29 symmetrical brass insert resulting in improved assembly times and the elimination of scrap.
