Combined pressure/temperature sensor from Variohm
Variohm EuroSensor has launched a new combined pressure and temperature sensor in a miniature package that is said to offer significant space savings and installation advantages.
The EPTTE1400 has already been testing in the motorsport arena but is also suited to gas or liquid condition monitoring for other industrial process monitoring applications.
The device is available in five standard gauge pressure range models, from 0 to 2bar to 0 to 25 bar, with a PT1000 compatible temperature range of -50 to 150ºC. The sensor's accuracy specification is rated at +/-0.8%, and with linearity to less than 1% it also boasts a strong temperature response time. The sensors' excitation voltage for pressure is 5VDC for a 0.5 to 4.5VDC ratiometric output.
The EPTTE1400 features high level ASIC output circuitry with a thin-film strain gauge pressure measuring cell that contains no silicon or oil and no internal O-rings for safe and reliable operation.
The sensor has IP67 sealing and is finished in high strength stainless steel with an industry standard M8 port interface and 600mm sleeved electrical cable. Optional boot protection over the housing is also available.
