Custom Ready Diecast Aluminium Enclosures
Sponsored by OKW: ROLEC's 'aluCASE' diecast aluminium enclosures have been designed to simplify customisation requirements. Until now, industry standard diecast enclosures would require additional machining and reworking in order to mount electronic or electrical components such as keypads, and accessories such as hinges, locks wall brackets, etc. The 'aluCASE' series includes these features as standard.
ROLEC's 'aluCASE' diecast aluminium enclosures have been designed to simplify customisation requirements. Until now, industry standard diecast enclosures would require additional machining and reworking in order to mount electronic or electrical components such as keypads, and accessories such as hinges, locks wall brackets, etc. The 'aluCASE' series includes these features as standard.
For example, it is not necessary to machine the lid section to fit a membrane keypad or product label, a 2 mm recess is already provided. Also lid retaining straps are included to avoid the need to fit external hinges. However, should hinges be required, standard models pre-fitted with integrated hinges are available.
External mounting brackets are no longer required as the enclosures can be mounted on a wall or machine while still assembled. There is no need to remove the lid, thus avoiding any possible damage to the components or sealing gasket. The clip-on
trims are simply snapped into place after the unit is mounted.
As a result, design engineers only have to specify the machining and finishing required for their specific electronic and electrical components.
The 'aluCASE' enclosures can be machined on any external surface so that cable glands, controls, displays, connectors, indicators, etc. can be fitted. ROLEC can also machine the internal surfaces to provide extra mounting points or remove existing screw bosses to make room for assemblies, rails or PCBs.
The 'aluCASE' enclosures are rated to IP 67 as standard, but can also be specified to IP 69K with a special factory fitted gasket.
The enclosures are manufactured in diecast aluminium in twenty four standard sizes with external dimensions from 75 x 50 x 33 mm to 330 x 200 x 120 mm.
As standard, the 'aluCASE' series is powder painted in window grey, RAL 7040. However, the enclosures can also be painted in any RAL colour, or matched customer colour on request. Powder paint or specialist wet paints can be applied. ROLEC can also silk-screen or engrave control legends and logos to customer designs.
Once the 'aluCASE' enclosures have been machined, and painted and printed in the customer's colours, a truly bespoke housing solution can be achieved.
