Direct hydraulic drive is ‘world’s most powerful’
Bosch Rexroth has unveiled a new range of heavy duty hydraulic motors, which it claims is the most powerful in the world.
The new devices are said to eliminate the need for gearboxes and provide direct drive for high torque applications ranging from wind turbines and tidal stream generators to very large bulk handling and processing plant.
In addition, Bosch says the Hägglunds CBM delivers 50% more torque and is 50% lighter than its predecessor. Other advantages include full torque from zero, protection from shock loads and four-quadrant operation.
