Drive solutions offer economical solution says Redex
New drive solutions from Redex Andantex are said to simplify turning table mechanical transmission systems and offer a more economical solution.
A c-axis drive has been designed to provide 'total driving torque' at low speed for milling operations. The main drive comprises of two identical gearboxes, which share the driving torque during turning operations. The CNC system is said to manage a motor preload torque to cancel backlash.
The solutions are said to enable accurate positioning and allow for the execution of additional duties on the c-axis, without any additional mechanical device. For this new drive solution, the company has developed a turnkey solution made with the MSD two speed gearbox in combination with the R SERIE bevel box.
The new range is available in four sizes, each with a torque capacity at pinion from 2000/4000Nm (2 x 40Kw motors) up to 9000/18000Nm (2 x 100Kw motors), with two possible ratios of 7.66&2 and 9.88&2.
