Laser based particle counting technology
Motion and control technologies, Parker Hannifin has launched the icount PD online particle detector, designed to monitor the condition of hydraulic oils in mobile and off highway applications.
The icountPD features laser based monitoring of system contamination trends, early warning LED or digital display indicators for low, medium and high contamination levels and an optional moisture percentage RH LED indicator, designed to prolong fluid life and reduce machine downtime.
According to Parker Hannifin, the on line particle detector provides a range of output options, which make it possible to interface with mobile equipment such as construction and mining machinery and specialist vehicles for forestry and agriculture. These options include RS232 and CANBUS connectivity, 4-20mA and 0-5V analogue outputs, and relay contacts, which can switch 5A at up to 24V DC.
The latest icountPD uses laser particle detection technology the unit has a robust, compact construction.
The Icount PD has a minimum sample time of three seconds and can be used at flow rates from 10-160ml/min and at line pressures from 2-420 bar.
