The company produces interior and exterior trim to the automotive industry, a process that, historically, has had repeatability, Health & Safety and environmental issues.
Each injection moulding cell contains two Synrad CO2 lasers. One is used for cutting off the moulding sprues and profiles the edgesof the trim, the other marksthe manufacturing date, time, company logo and a unique identity, either by conventional barcode or a 2D matrixonto the moulding.
By introducing the laser systems, Laser Lines claims the company have been able to maximise production, minimise waste, remove consumable inks and redeploy valuable company resources.
