Permanent magnetic couplings can be tailored to specific machinery needs
The GMDO, available now from JBJ Techniques, is a permanent magnet coupling designed to transmit torque using the magnetic field established between the inner and outer rotor, without mechanical contact between shafts.
The ability to hermetically separate two areas whilst continuing to transmit mechanical power from one to the other makes the couplings suitable for applications where prevention of cross contamination is essential.
This includes dosing systems, compressors, sterilisers, industrial ovens, biotechnology applications, subsea equipment, the pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, food industry, generators and mixers.
The couplings can be adapted to suit the needs of different pieces of machinery. ATEX compliance is available on request.
