Quick connect modules from Value Plastics
Value Plastics has launched the MQC series of push-to-connect connectors.
Available in an array of colours and sizes, the devices have haptic characteristics that are said to make the fittings easy to handle, even while wearing gloves. In acknowledgement of the medical industry's developing ISO 80369 standard, the modules are also designed to help to reduce the risk of misconnections.
Multiple nylon resins are available (including a USP Class VI material), as well as a variety of barb sizes (from 3.2 to 4.8mm). Product life cycle is rated at 1,500 connections. The male connector includes a Buna-N o-ring to ensure a secure seal and the fittings are both ethylene oxide compatible and gamma radiation stable.
