The G120P series has a number of integrated, time-saving functions such as pump cascades, multi-zone control, dry running, blocking and V-belt monitoring, and a smoke extraction mode.
These functions, combined with full integration to Siemens’ Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal, mean up to 30% of the engineering time can be saved. An inbuilt software wizard also facilitates fast, reliable commissioning.
The devices are above 98% efficient, according to the new European energy efficiency standard EN 50598. This is said to reduce operating costs and improve CO2 balance. Depending on the operating mode, many ways of fine-tuning energy consumption are offered, such as automatically adapting the magnetic flux in the motor to the current load conditions, optimising output pulses, and use of an energy-saving standby mode.
The converters are available in two design variants, with cabinet widths starting from 600mm and various degrees of protection up to IP54. All models have a rugged, maintenance-free design which can cope with extremely harsh industrial environments, like those found in the energy, water and processing industries.
