Stratasys offers low-cost FDM
Stratasys has brought out a Fused Deposition Modelling machine under the 'Dimension' brand name for $14,900.
Priced for office use, they are designed to allow the user to be able to afford to create perfect working models directly from thier CAD software. Dimension models are made of tough ABS plastic that can be sanded, milled, drilled, and painted.
Outsourcing or hand-building a prototype in-house takes days or weeks. The Dimension 3D Printer can create that same part in just hours.
