Strong fibre reinforced epoxy resin
Comprised of an aramid fibre reinforced epoxy adhesive, Master Bond says its EP30R features outstanding dimensional stability and enhanced impact resistance.
The two part epoxy is formulated to cure at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. Master Bond EP30R produces bonds to metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanised rubbers and many plastics that resist thermal cycling and chemicals over the temperature range of -51 to over 120°C.
Cure shrinkage of 0.0003in is said to preserve dimensional formation of the assembled parts. According to Master Bond, mechanical or thermal stresses do not weaken adhesive performance and the cured epoxy is an electrical insulator.
The EP30R is a high viscosity compound designed to spread evenly and smoothly and only contact pressure is required for cure. 100% reactive, the epoxy adhesive contains no solvents or other volatiles.
Master Bond recommends EP30R for applications where strength, dimensional stability and impact resistance must be maintained even upon prolonged exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
