System offers greater material flexibility
Optibelt has launched a new, flexible system that allows attachments to be mechanically fixed to polyurethane timing belts.
The Alpha-ATC range uses threaded inserts that slot into pre-moulded grooves in the belt teeth. Any attachment can then be screwed securely to the belt. The bar-shaped insert is highly stable and more secure than other methods such as welding or gluing. It also allows greater flexibility of attachment material and means attachments can be changed, moved or replaced as required.
