E6.1 energy chain optimised for use in cleanrooms
The new generation E6.1 energy chain from igus is specifically designed for use in scientific cleanrooms, where keeping environmental contamination to a minimum can be a challenge.
The chain is ISO Class 1 and PA approved and provides strong operation for areas that require low vibration, low noise, and high accelerations. Its elastic spring element connects the links of the chain together to prevent movement between the joints and ensures less friction and abrasion to the cables and hoses it carries.
The direction of the energy chain's rotation can be altered easily and its links can be reversed to increase or decrease the camber; this can be achieved quickly by removing the spring element with a screwdriver, swapping the link over and clipping the element back into place with just the fingertips.
