In this week’s video we see first-hand how easy the Delta robot is to assemble – an experienced engineer should be able to build one in about half an hour. Its maintenance-free belt drive units, lubrication-free link rods, encoders and NEMA stepper motors combine to ensure fast handling of up to 1 kg with a precision of ±0.5mm. The complete system has an installation space of up to 420mm in diameter and can carry up to 5kg at lower speeds. Depending on setup and requirements, pick rate is at least 60 per minute.
