New and improved igus chainflex cables for harsh environments
Cable specialist igus has expanded its chainflex CF211 and CF111.D series of cables for energy chains, which are suitable for dynamic equipment found in warehouses, storage and handling and the machine tools industry. The optimised measuring system cables feature an enhanced core and shield structure that offers a much longer service life and makes them easier to install, reducing assembly times by 30%.
In addition, the cable outer jackets are now available in PVC, PUR and TPE materials, which consist of a low adhesive and are oil-resistant, making them suitable for use in extreme environments. These new materials enable the cables to be suspended freely and reach gliding travel distances of up to 100m without support.
The CF211.028 and CF111.028 analogue and digital measuring system cables have also been added to the series. They have been specially designed for use with Drive Cliq connectors and igus says the improved range will benefit applications such as machining units, indoor cranes and packaging machines.
The CF211 and CF111.D series comes in a variety of sizes and follows the DESINA colour coding. igus' chainflex cables also conform to and are in accordance with various cable industry standards.
