The BENNING CM11 is able to measure load currents of up to 20A AC and 10A DC and process signal currents of 4 to 20mA without interruption of the current loop. The unit is also able to make other measurements including voltage and resistance; acoustic continuity testing is also possible. The TRUE RMS measurement method is claimed to give enhanced accuracy versus a standard RMS approach often used in test equipment. This is particularly important in industrial environments where non-linear loads may generate a reactive power in the mains leading to misleading measurements being taken.
Further functions include HOLD, MIN, MAX storage, ZERO and switchable display illumination. A clamp opening of 23mm enhances convenience in use and the unit is supplied with 4mm safety measuring leads, batteries and a storage pouch.
