The S option (ELPMS) is available across the full range of the sensor series, covering electrical stroke lengths from 12.5 to 175mm for both the standard self-aligning pivot bearing version and the ‘Pop’ version that includes snap-on mountings for rapid installation or removal. The independent linearity across the range is ±1% for the 12.5 to 50mm versions and ±0.5% for the 75 to 175mm versions. The ELPM has a temperature range of -30 to 150°C continuous with a short term rating to 175°C.
Rated at 25million operations and with a maximum speed of 10m/sec, the long life and high reliability of the ELPM and ELPMS series is due to the multi-fingered precious metal wiper system which maintains full and complete contact with the linear sensor’s conductive plastic resistance element - even under the most arduous physical and environmental conditions and with low electrical noise. The 24Vdc supplied sensor has a recommended wiper current of 10µA for maximum efficiency in battery powered use and is supplied as standard with a 500mm free cable with a Viton seal.
