Flange mount shaft bearings self-align for consistent fit

Elesa has released the UC range of self-aligning flange bearings that are claimed to offer easy installation for rotating shafts on equipment such as conveyor systems, where their tolerant fit and protected bearings enable quick, simple assembly or replacement.

Natural shaft alignment up to ±2.5° off centre, together with a re-lubrication facility via a traditional grease nipple, ensures that these flange bearings have a long service life.

The UC range comes in square flanged, side flanged or surface mounting formats with through shaft or end capped bearings. Housings are in glass reinforced polyamide with stainless steel bushings and washers holding high quality chrome steel bearings, all with ISO 3228 compliant dimensional tolerances to ensure a consistent fit.

Standard sizes fit 25 and 30mm shafts while custom special variants include AISI 440C stainless steel bearings, imperial sizes, non-standard shaft sizes and brackets in anti-bacterial material, also polypropylene based (PP) technopolymer, packing rings and Viton oil seal for food or high demand environments.
